Admissions
Mourne Grange is a residential Community for adults with special needs. People join the community as residents from a wide area. Most people come from Northern Ireland, but some come from other parts of the UK or the Republic of Ireland. The fee charged for a placement in Mourne Grange is comparable with similar provisions and the majority of funding comes from the Southern Health & Social Care Trust (SHSCT) and Supporting People.
In Mourne Grange there is an opportunity for both a fulfilling life and self development, for anyone living in the community. There are several workshops and a rich cultural life integrated into the routine. The care provided is personalised and everyone, regardless of abilities, has a chance to find their niche.
Mourne Grange is inspected regularly by the RQIA and Supporting People who continually praise the community for the care provided. For copies of the inspection reports please visit their websites.
The admission criteria specifies that applicants must be registered as learning disabled and have a risk assessment compatible for living with vulnerable people and children in a life-sharing situation. Mourne Grange is under a contract with the SHSCT and their learning disability team is involved in the admissions process.
If you are eligible and would be interested in joining as a resident you should contact us. There are vacancies currently available. We will happily arrange a guided tour of the community for you to give you an opportunity to see for yourself what Mourne Grange is like.
